Ballyhackamore is situated on the Upper Newtownards Road in east Belfast, ‘halfway’ between Belfast City centre and Dundonald Village. It is a thriving community of shops, restaurants and a variety of businesses’. It is nearby its sister community of the Belmont Road.
It’s fair to say that Ballyhackamore has overtaken most of the previous ‘happening places’ in Belfast (Lisburn Road, Stranmillis etc) to become THE place to visit for an unbelievable variety of eating establishments, coupled with some great bars. It is host to a huge range of excellent restaurants offering all types of cuisine, from Asian, Mexican, Indian to award winning restaurants. You name it, we have it!
Ballyhackamore has long been the base for a number of estate agents, with no less than six along its stretch. In fact there is very little you cannot find in the village of Ballyhackamore and in amongst smaller local shops, you will find the supermarket giants, Tesco’s and Marks and Spencers, also Spar and petrol station, just a stone's throw away.
For residents, Ballyhackamore provides a superb location in which to live; just about every convenience can be found on the doorstep here – from attractive local pubs to top class restaurants. That is why it has become very much a sought after area in terms of property for sale or even to rent. The Stormont building and its wonderful gardens are a short walking distance.
There is plenty of free parking around the apartment. City buses run every 20 minutes to and from city centre with nearby bus stops. Hop-on/hop-off buses are also easily accessible and recommended. Trains and busses are available to longer destinations e.g. Dublin and Dublin airport, Belfast international and city airports.
